Light Catchers

By monster spank

they catch the sun and spin a kaleidoscope
of lightbeams at the speed of light.
dozens of them hang from trees in various
configurations. at night, they emit rainbow
reflections (almost invisible) from even
the dimmest glow. their sexless, functional,
and shiny selves doomed to the landfill
because of buffer overruns, instead,
they spin happily and endlessly to catch
any luminance and reflect a more interesting
and more beautiful point of view.
